Beautification Awards to Be Made by C of C

The Los Angeles West Chamber of Commerce will present its 17th annual urban beautification awards Monday at a Hotel Bel-Air luncheon.
Owners of buildings, architects, landscape architects, contractors and builders will be honored for new and remodeled buildings and residences completed during the past year that enhance the quality of their respective areas.
Eligible contest entrants must be located from City Hall west to the ocean and from Mulholland Highway south to Los Angeles International Airport, according to Dori Pye, chamber president. Principal participants will include Councilmen Marvin Braude and Zev Yaroslavsky; Cyril Chern, president of the Los Angeles chapter, American Institute of Architects; Carl Terzian, master of ceremonies, and Dick Turpin, Times real estate editor.
