Reporting from Las Vegas — Tonight, tonight. The Smashing Pumpkins team up with Marilyn Manson to bring their co-headlining The End Times tour to Las Vegas in July.
The 23-date tour supports Marilyn Manson’s new album “The Pale Emperor” and The Smashing Pumpkins’ “Monuments To An Elegy.” Both bands play The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel on Friday, July 10.
“Monuments To An Elegy,” The Smashing Pumpkins’ eighth studio album, was released on Dec. 9. The band out of Chicago went mainstream with their second album “Siamese Dream” and are perhaps best known for hits such as “Cherub Rock,” “Mayonaise” and “1979” as well as lead singer and guitarist Billy Corgan, the driving force behind the band.
Fort Lauderdale’s Marilyn Manson released “The Pale Emperor” in January. The band members combined celebrity first names with serial killer last names and often dress in over-the-top costumes with makeup to match.
Manson’s biggest songs include “The Beautiful People,” “The Dope Show” and their remake of the Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This).”
Tickets start at $59.50.
Tickets: Hard Rock Hotel box office, (702) 693-5000 ext. 6914
