The doggy welcome mat is out at these top five hotel chains

It’s a wonderful dog’s life at Hyatt-Regency, Ritz-Carlton and La Quinta hotels and inns, according to the website Pet Hotels of America, which has listed its picks for the dog-friendliest hotel chains in America.
Rounding out website’s top five list of chains: Omni Hotels & Resorts and Destination Hotels & Resorts. The winners are based on scores given by website’s users.
“Pet-friendly hotels have become abundant,” said Lisa Porter, the website’s founder. “But there are some that go over the top for pets, and they’re not just individual hotels, they’re hotel chains.”
Among the highest scoring individual hotels in the Pet Hotels of America survey:
- Hyatt-Regency Hotels: Century Plaza and Huntington Beach
- Ritz-Carlton Hotels: Central Park, New York, and Half Moon Bay, Calif.
- La Quinta Inn & Suites: Las Vegas/Red Rock, Nev., Denver/Golden, Colo., and Irvine Spectrum, Calif.
- Omni Hotels & Resorts: Los Angeles at California Plaza and Richmond, Va.
- Destination Hotels & Resorts: Terranea Resort, Rancho Palos Verdes and Stowe Mountain Lodge, Vt.
