Bishop Amat receiver Trevon Sidney became the second player to commit to USC at the Opening football camp on Friday.
“It’s just a great fit for me, I feel most comfortable with the coaching staff there,” said Sidney, who also considered UCLA, Washington, Michigan and Notre Dame.
Gardena Serra defensive back C.J. Pollard committed on Thursday.
Sidney, 5-foot-10½ and 164 pounds, said despite making his commitment, he would still make official visits to five schools.
“I haven’t been anywhere other than California, so I just want to get out and go see,” he said.
Sidney, who also plays cornerback, caught 38 passes for 540 yards and three touchdowns during the 2014 season. He also intercepted four passes and made 47 tackles.
Sidney is the 16th player to commit to USC’s 2016 recruiting class.
