UCLA basketball: Bruins waiting on Wanaah Bail, Isaac Hamilton ruling
- Share via
UCLA is still awaiting word on the eligibility status of two basketball transfers, forward Wanaah Bail and guard Isaac Hamilton.
Bail signed with Texas Tech and was to play for the Red Raiders a year ago but did not return to the school after summer session in 2012. Hamilton signed with Texas El Paso as a senior at Bellflower St. John Bosco last year. He tried to gain his release this summer and enrolled at UCLA.
Both players are appealing to the NCAA to be eligible for the 2013-14 season.
“We’re still waiting,” Coach Steve Alford said. “Wanaah, I’m hoping, will come in at any time. Isaac has just gone in very recently. We knew we weren’t going to get feedback right away on him.”
Bail is still recovering from knee surgery. His is expected to be sidelined at least two more months.
