World Cup: Brazil opens group play against Croatia on Thursday

Group A: BRAZIL VS. CROATIA

Where: Sao Paulo.

Time: 1 p.m PDT.

TV: ESPN, Univision.

The buzz: Brazil has won a record five World Cups but lost in the final the only time it played the tournament on its home turf. It has rebounded since then and is unbeaten in its last 57 competitive games at home, including five in last summer’s Confederations Cup where Brazil beat Spain in the final.
