Clippers talk to centers Darko Milicic, Ryan Hollins

The Clippers are not the only team pursuing free-agent center Darko Milicic.
Apparently the Miami Heat, Chicago Bulls and Brooklyn Nets all have interest too.
Milicic’s agent, Marc Cornstein, said Wednesday that the Clippers “are a team we have spoken to.”
Cornstein knows that the Clippers only have the veteran minimum of about $1.229 million to offer Milicic.
But Cornstein said that money would be somewhat less of a factor in Milicic’s decision on where he will play next because he still will be paid for the last two years of his contract -- worth a total of $10.898 million -- after the Minnesota Timberwolves used the amnesty provision on the 7-footer.
“Playing time, team situation will be crucial factors,” Cornstein said. “Because Darko was amnestied, he and I both agree that it’s a crucial year for him.”
The Clippers also have a strong interest in center Ryan Hollins, who also would be paid the veteran minimum of $1.065 million.
