Volleyball: Showdown looming between Loyola and Corona del Mar

The primary challenger to No. 1-ranked Huntington Beach in boys’ volleyball could emerge after a nonleague showdown on Wednesday between Loyola and host Corona del Mar at 4:45 p.m.
Corona del Mar is ranked No. 2 and Redondo No. 3 in Division 1. Loyola, an 11-time Southern Section champion, is No. 4.
Both schools are loaded with college players and lots of size.
