Triton vs. Titan sock drive this week

San Clemente and Tesoro are having a sock drive this week asking for donations of black or brown socks to be sent to Army units in honor of Donald Hogan, a former Tesoro student who became a Marine and was killed in Afghanistan in 2009.
The “Socks for Heroes” project began last year. Tesoro won the first year.
The winner will be announced at halftime of Friday’s San Clemente-Tesoro football game. Socks can be dropped off at campus collection points or at the game at Tesoro. Or you can make a donation on the San Clemente website.
The goal is 10,000 socks.
