Girls’ basketball: Chelsey Gipson leads Palisades

Defending City Section Division I girls’ basketball champion Palisades opened action on Monday night with an 88-22 win over Channel Islands in an opening game of the Palisades tournament.
Chelsey Gipson scored 19 points for the Dolphins.
Chaminade received 25 points from Leaonna Odom in an 84-52 win over Antelope Valley. Tylen Price had 28 points for A.V.
Troy defeated Agoura, 78-49. Rebecca Lazuka led Troy with 17 points.
Cajon defeated El Camino Real, 57-43. Tyla Turner finished with 27 points.
