Football: Marquis Williams comes through for Garfield

Down, 19-14, with 1:30 left, Marquis Williams of Garfield didn’t come up with just any big play on Friday night against Venice.
He came through with a 94-yard touchdown reception from Adam Polanco.
Then he made an interception with 39 seconds left to preserve a 20-19 victory.

Chatsworth put up 62 points on a good Fairfax team en route to a 62-49u victory. Quarterback Tyger Goslin passed for seven touchdowns. Rames Hernandez of Fairfax rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns, ran back a kickoff 98 yards for a touchdown and caught a TD pass.
Crenshaw came close but missed on a field goal in the closing seconds of a 22-21 loss to Bakersfield.
Hollywood is 4-0 after a 43-35 win over Marshall. David Rothenberg passed for 207 yards and three touchdowns in the first half.
In the battle for supremacy in Granada Hills, Granada Hills held off Kennedy, 35-31.
