Cross country: Sophomore Claudia Lane of Malibu is Gatorade state girls’ runner of the year

Sophomore Claudia Lane of Malibu has been selected the Gatorade state runner of the year in girls’ cross country.
She won the national title at the Foot Locker Cross Country championships in 17:04.81.
She won the Division 4 state championship.
She also has a 4.0 grade-point average.
