Boys’ basketball: University improves to 2-0

L.A. University, part of the City Section’s powerful Western League, improved to 2-0 in the Alhambra tournament with a 73-42 win over Roybal.
Cushan Allen had 20 points. Dwight Murray added 11 points. University will play Alhambra in Wednesday’s semifinals.
Birmingham won a consolation game over Wilson, 82-44. Armen Sabezian had 19 points and Omari Khalfani added 17 points.
