Baseball: VIBL playoffs begin on Friday

Woodland Hils West, made up of players from defending City Section Division I champion El Camino Real, is seeded No. 1 for the VIBL playoffs that begin on Friday. The championship game is July 18 at 7 p.m. at Birmingham.
Hart is seeded No. 2, Cleveland is No. 3 and Saugus is No. 4.
Opening games in the single-elimination tournament include St. Francis at Royal, Kennedy at Saugus, Gas House Gang at Burroughs, Paraclete at Crespi, Taft at Cleveland, Burbank at Camarillo.
