Baseball: USA 15U team rallies to reach gold medal game

The USA 15U national baseball team scored two runs in the seventh inning on Saturday to pull out a 5-4 victory over Panama and advance to the gold medal game of the COPABE Pan American Games in Colombia.
Isaak Gutierrez from St. John Bosco hit the ball that went through the right side to score the tying and winning runs.
USA overcame a 4-1 deficit. Gutierrez and Blake Sabol from Aliso Niguel had RBI singles in the fifth to rally USA.
JSerra’s Chase Strumpf, who came in with five home runs in six games, was walked four times.
The team is coached by former Chatsworth Coach Tom Meusborn. Harvard-Westlake’s Matt LaCour is serving as an assistant.
