Baseball: Top members from the class of 2016 set to play in Futures Series

The Southwest Futures All Star Series, featuring top baseball players from the class of 2016, will take place Saturday and Sunday at Pepperdine. Games are noon and 4 p.m. on Saturday and noon and 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The East team includes three players from Gahr _ shortstop Jesus Salazar, catcher Victor Salazar and pitcher Christian Corral. Outfielder Jack Moberg and pitcher Connor Cannon from Vista Murrieta are also on the team.
Among the North players are catcher Nick Kahle from Chaminade, outfielder Matt Cassin from Crespi, catcher Robert Reeves from Hart, catcher Eric Yang from El Camino Real, first baseman Adrian Damla from Crescenta Valley and pitcher Braydon Salzman from Ocean View.
The West team includes second baseman Andrew Renteria and pitcher Josh Garcia from Chatsworth, second baseman Clarence Carter from Bishop Amat and three players from Division 3 champion Redondo _ pitchers Connor Riley and Cooper Gallion and first baseman Sean Reynolds.
On the West team are infielders Noah Prewett from Oaks Christian, Joey Dawes from Agoura, pitcher Darius Vines from St. Bonaventure, pitcher Frankie Tostado from Camarillo, outfielder Stephen Kish from Oxnard and outfielder Matt Sciumbato from Royal.
The championship game is 4 p.m. on Sunday.
