Baseball: Former Chatsworth standout Matt Dominguez designated for assignment

The Houston Astros have designated for assignment former Chatsworth third baseman Matt Dominguez.
Dominguez, who played in 340 games for the Astros from 2012 through 2014, lost his starting spot when Luis Valbuena was acquired in the winter.
Dominguez has been playing this season in triple-A Fresno, where he’s hitting .251 and drove in seven runs during a game on Sunday.
