Baseball: Andy Nieto resigns at Bishop Amat

Andy Nieto, who guided Bishop Amat to his fourth Southern Section championship in Division 3 this past season, has resigned. He’s expected to be a prime candidate for openings at St. John Bosco and Servite.
Nieto is a former USC assistant coach who arrived at Bishop Amat in 2007.
“It was after a lot of sleepless nights and thinking that I’m going to seek other challenges,” Nieto said.
