13 schools receive approval to join Central Section

The Central Section has given final approval to accept 13 schools from the Southern Section and let them join the Central Section for the 2018-19 sports year.
Athletic Director Dwight MacDonald of Arroyo Grande has sent a letter to the Southern Section stating that it is the intention of the 13 schools to leave for the Central Section.
The schools: Arroyo Grande, Atascadero, Mission College Prep, Morro Bay, Nipomo, Orcutt Academy, Paso Robles, Pioneer Valley, Righetti, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, St. Joseph, Templeton.
The Southern Section is beginning the process of area placement and the formation of new leagues, so a final decision by the schools was requested.
