High School Roundup: Estancia High boys’ water polo improves to 5-0

Junior Tyler Humphries had a team-best four goals as the Estancia High School boys’ water polo team routed Orange 19-1 in an Orange Coast League opener Thursday on the road.
Senior Logan Richard had three goals and three assists for the Eagles, who improved to 5-0 overall. Junior goalkeeper Peyton Watkins made 10 saves.
Estancia plays at Tustin in a nonleague match Saturday at 1 p.m.
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Corona del Mar 4, Estancia 0: Erin Jones scored two goals for the Sea Kings in Thursday’s nonleague match at CdM.
Hailey Franklin also scored for CdM (1-2-1), while freshman Peyton Vovan had a goal and an assist.
Estancia is now 0-1.
CdM next plays host to Foothill on Tuesday at 3:45 p.m., while Estancia hosts Marina on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Marina 2, Huntington Beach 1: Abby Kirby and Makenna Castillo scored for the Vikings in Thursday’s nonleague match at Marina High.
The Vikings are now 1-0, while the Oilers fall to 1-1.
