A 29-year-old man was wounded at a Rosemead intersection after someone in another vehicle shot at his vehicle multiple times, authorities said.
The victim was stopped at the intersection of Graves and Del Mar avenue about 12:40 p.m. when another car pulled up alongside him, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Ismael Chavez.
After a short conversation, someone in that car fired multiple times at the victim.
The victim suffered a single gunshot wound to the torso and crashed his car into a nearby liquor store after he was struck, Chavez said.
The intersection remained closed Friday as deputies canvassed the area, searching for witnesses.
Authorities said they do not yet have a description of the suspect’s vehicle or know how many people were inside it.
The victim was taken to an area hospital. It’s not clear how severe his injuries are, Chavez said.
