Brush fire burns 90 acres in San Diego’s Mission Trails Regional Park

reporting from san diego — A fast-moving brush fire has burned 90 acres in San Diego’s Mission Trails Regional Park but no structures are threatened, officials said Sunday.
The fire is being fought by three helicopters, two fixed-wing aircraft and 18 fire crews, according to Mayor Kevin Faulconer.
Councilman Scott Sherman posted a tweet advising people not to block fire crews by stopping to watch: “Please don’t stop on the side of the road to watch,” he tweeted.
By 4:30 p.m., the fire was in the Kwaay Paay Mountain area of the park.
The 5,800-acre Mission Trails Regional Park includes developed and natural areas in the northeast corner of the city. Park officials say the natural areas show what the region looked like before explorer Juan Cabrillo arrived in 1542.
