Couple plead not guilty in Miley Cyrus home break-in, Maserati theft

An Arizona couple have pleaded not guilty to charges that they burglarized pop star Miley Cyrus’ home and stole her Maserati, officials said.
Naomi Charles, 21, and Tylor Scott, 19, face multiple theft-related charges, including burglary and stealing Cyrus’ white, four-door Maserati, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.
Prosecutors also alleged that a firearm was used in the alleged break-in, district attorney’s spokesman Ricardo Santiago said.
Scott faces additional burglary and grand theft charges stemming from a May 15 break-in during which a 9-millimeter Luger handgun was reportedly stolen from a Woodland Hills home, Santiago said.
The couple are accused of breaking into Cyrus’ San Fernando Valley home on May 30 and stealing jewelry, purses and handbags valued at thousands of dollars.
Nearly all of the “Wrecking Ball” singer’s belongings were recovered by detectives while investigating the couple, Santiago said.
Charles and Scott were arrested Thursday. They entered their pleas Monday.
Charles has appeared in a rap video for the artist OnlyFuturistic. The couple also reportedly tried modeling.
Detectives began looking into the two after receiving tips about the break-in, said Los Angeles police Lt. Michael Rimkunas. Police recovered Cyrus’ stolen 2014 Maserati Quattroporte last week after it was discovered abandoned on a street in Simi Valley.
