Earthquake: 3.4 quake strikes near Janesville

A shallow magnitude 3.4 earthquake was reported Monday morning 31 miles from Janesville, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 4:01 a.m. PDT at a depth of 1.2 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 39 miles from Susanville and 44 miles from Spanish Springs, Nev.
In the past 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
