How El Monte area water agencies compare

The city of El Monte’s water operation this week was listed among the state’s six worst conserving water agencies. Other water suppliers in the San Gabriel Valley, including some that serve portions of the city, have continued to cut water use to reach state mandated conservation targets.
Water-savings goal: 8%
June water use: 15% increase
(Serving El Monte, South El Monte, Rosemead and 12 other cities and unincorported portions of L.A. County)
Water-savings goal: 16%
June water use: 35% decrease
(Serving parts of El Monte, Irwindale, Monrovia and Temple City)
Water-savings goal: 24%
June water use: 30% decrease
Water-savings goal: 36%
June water use: 28% decrease
(Serving parts of Whittier, La Mirada, La Habra and Buena Park)
Water-savings goal: 28%
June water use: 26% decrease
