Los Angeles County August residential sales

The median price of new and existing houses and condominiums sold in Los Angeles County increased to $494,000 in August from $407,000 a year ago, according to DataQuick Information Systems.
Of existing residences only, detailed in the chart, home prices countywide rose 23.5% to $525,000 from a year ago, while condominium prices rose 21.9% to $402,000. Statistics for new building are not broken out by housing type and are not included.
The chart lists median prices in thousands of dollars for residential resales by ZIP Code. Community names are included for convenience but, because of space limitations, cannot all be listed individually. The price per square foot is for homes only.
