Interactive: Explore the ‘Great Streets’ of Los Angeles
- Share via
Mayor Eric Garcetti has identified 15 major thoroughfares he hopes to transform as part of his “Great Streets” program. The city plans to add bike racks, plazas, crosswalks and other improvements aimed at attracting pedestrians and new businesses.
Garcetti picked one street in each council district and said he targeted locations that already have sparks of new economic activity. He points to Sunset Junction in Silver Lake and Glendale Boulevard in Atwater Village as success stories in the council district he represented before becoming mayor.
