The runway finale for womenswear designer of the year 34° N 118° W by Jodie Dolan, Kate Anlyan and John Renaud at the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion 2016 show in early August at Willow Studios in downtown L.A.

A display case at the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion event contain chunky gold Legier signet rings created by jewelry designer of the year Legier Biederman -- and a corn snake.

The Rafa footwear was showcased off to one side of the runway on a patch of artifical turf -- with models taking turns on the seesaw.

The runway finale of the Elliott Evan show at the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion 2016 event on Aug. The label’s designer, Elliott Giffis, was recognized as avant-garde designer of the year.

One of the memorable looks from the 34°N 118°W collection was the pale pink tunic top/maxi-skirt combination at left that included a loopy, scrawly black abstract print that looks like the result of a Sharpie pen binge – in a good way.

Rafa shoes are handmade by artisans in Los Angeles and designed by Taghrid Zorob, the Gen Art Fresh Faces in Fashion 2016 footwear designer of the year.

Legier’s gold and silver signet rings are set with a variety of precious stones. Gen Art has brokered a deal to make the rings available online via shopspring.com.
