Beyoncé is coming back to HBO, but instead of airing another music concert special, she’s doing something a little different.
Beginning June 29, the premium cable channel will air “Beyonce: X10,” a series of four-minute performances taken from recently completed Mrs. Carter Show world tour.
The episodes will include Beyoncé’s performances of “Blow/Cherry,” “Drunk in Love,” “Ghost/Haunted,” “Flawless/Yoncé,” “Get Me Bodied/Baby Boy/Diva,” “Girls,” “Heaven,” “Partition,” “Why Don’t You Love Me?” and “XO.”
Each new episode will air immediately before a new episode of “True Blood” on Sunday nights.
Beyoncé’s last special for HBO was the 2013 autobiographical documentary film she directed, “Life Is But a Dream,” which combined behind-the-scenes footage, private home movies and concert footage from her four-night revue in Atlantic City.
The first airing of the film had an audience of 1.8 million, which was the largest audience the channel had seen for a documentary in nearly 10 years.
