Win Butler of Arcade Fire joins the Rolling Stones in Montreal

Does anyone say no to the Rolling Stones?
On Sunday night in Montreal, the veteran rockers welcomed Win Butler to the stage of the Bell Centre, where the Arcade Fire frontman (and transplanted Canadian) helped Mick Jagger sing the early Stones tune “The Last Time.”
It wasn’t the first time Butler has performed the tune with Jagger. Last year, Arcade Fire backed the singer for a rendition of “The Last Time” on “Saturday Night Live.”
And Butler’s guest shot probably won’t be the last on the Stones’ 50 & Counting tour. Last week, Taylor Swift joined the band in Chicago for “As Tears Go By”; Carrie Underwood did “It’s Only Rock & Roll” in Toronto on May 25.
The trek heads next to Boston for two shows at the TD Garden starting Wednesday night, and given that Aerosmith’s website lists no upcoming concert dates prior to Steven Tyler and Joe Perry’s planned June 22 gig at the Hollywood Bowl, Pop & Hiss is wondering whether an appearance by Jagger’s foremost American imitator may be in the offing?
