The Lummis Home is one of the great idiosyncratic landmarks of Los Angeles, a house built from hand-hewn river rock that now is just off the 110 freeway. Visitors can take a gander at it and enjoy scads of events during Lummis Day, a celebration of the renaissance man Charles Lummis, known for his Indian activism, historical writing and naturalist works of art.
