Norman Reedus helps kill a rumor he’s dating a former ‘Walking Dead’ costar

Norman Reedus isn’t just killing zombies, he’s also killing relationship rumors.

“The Walking Dead” star’s romantic side got some attention earlier this week when Us Weekly paired him with former costar Emily Kinney. The mag claimed the two bonded on set a few years ago and recently sparked a romance.

However, Reedus’ rep shut down the report as false, and the fan favorite himself delivered a final blow to Daryl-and-Beth shippers in the form of a tweet.

“new couple alert,” the 46-year-old wrote, sharing a snapshot of himself with former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger at last week’s CMT Awards. In the cheeky photo, Reedus raises his beer in a toast to the camera.

AMC’s undead thriller has been renewed for a sixth season, with Reedus returning as the gruff, crossbow-toting walker slayer Daryl Dixon. The show is currently filming in Atlanta, and the character’s fate was called into question last spring when reports surfaced about Reedus putting his Atlanta home for sale. Thankfully, he helped shut down that speculation too.

“That’s not even my house,” he told the Wrap in April. “It’s a rumor.”
