Emmy chat: Mayim Bialik of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on Thursday

She brings the brittle-ankled Amy Farrah Fowler to life on “The Big Bang Theory.”
Mayim Bialik will stop by the Los Angeles Times for a live video chat on Thursday at 2 p.m. PDT to discuss her turn as the quirky neuroscientist — and could-have-been fiance to Sheldon, according to the Season 8 finale — on the CBS comedy. We likely won’t have fun with flags during the filming of the discussion, but hopefully our producer won’t forget to hit ‘record’ a la Amy.
Bialik, who first rose to fame in the ‘90s with her teen sitcom “Blossom,” has been nominated three times for an Emmy in the supporting actress in a comedy category since rejoining the acting ranks with her role on “Big Bang.”
We’ll talk to her about the status of Amy and Sheldon as the show gears up for its ninth season and the trick to Amy’s social awkwardness. And maybe we’ll get some gossip on CatCon.
We’ll also be taking your questions, which you can leave in the comments section here or tweet to us using the hashtag #askLATimes.
And if TV is your thing, be sure to check out our other Emmy contender conversations.
