“An Evening Without Monty Python”
Python member Eric Idle directs a cast of five, including actress Jane Leeves,for a live staging of more than 20 skits adapted from the originalMonty Python television series and films.

“Monty Python: Almost the Truth (The Lawyer’s Cut)”
A six-episode documentary charts the group’s history,with clips and commentary from Python members as well as othercomedians and contemporaries. Airs on IFC Oct. 18-23, 9-10 p.m. Inconjunction with the documentary, IFC is also screening three ofthe troupe’s feature films: “Monty Python and theHoly Grail,” 10 p.m. Oct. 19 and 1 a.m. Oct. 20; “Monty Python’s Life of Brian,” 10 p.m. Oct. 20 and 1 a.m.Oct. 21, and “Monty Python Live at the HollywoodBowl,” 10 p.m. Oct. 18 and 1 a.m. Oct. 19.
