Students collect Beanie Babies for children overseas

La Crescenta Elementary School students on Friday celebrated the culmination of several weeks of collecting Beanie Babies that will be shipped to U.S. military personnel serving overseas. Soldiers will distribute them to children in regions where they are working as a means of fostering goodwill and trust.
