Former NFL and University of Texas quarterback Vince Young has listed his home in Houston for sale at $815,000.
Found among a row of golf course homes in the Royal Oaks Country Club, the brick-and-stone Traditional sports a two-story floor plan with vaulted interiors, hardwood flooring and plantation shutters.
The 4,323 square feet of living space contains an updated kitchen, a formal living room, a media room and a master suite with a sitting room. In all, the home counts four bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms.
Outdoors, the landscaped grounds include an entertainer’s patio, a gazebo and a pool and spa.
The 31-year-old athlete had a 30-2 record as a starter at Texas and led the Longhorns to the 2005 national championship with a Rose Bowl victory over the USC Trojans. Drafted No. 3 overall in 2006, he spent six seasons in the NFL, mainly with Tennessee, making two Pro Bowls in his career.
Young, who filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection earlier this year before reaching a settlement with creditors, purchased the home in 2006, public records show. The property previously came to market in July with an ask of $849,000.
Vintrista Fontenot of Carrington Real Estate Services is the listing agent.
