Rock and roll icon Slash and his wife, philanthropist Perla Hudson, have put their Tuscan-inspired villa in Beverly Hills on the market for $10.995 million.
The one-of-a-kind residence in the guard-gated Mulholland Estates lives up to its owner’s rock star status with alligator print wallpaper, cheetah print rugs and crystal chandeliers fashioned as pirate ships.
The home features a two-story entry, public areas with patterned wall treatments and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Formal living and dining rooms, a family room with a wet bar, a maid’s suite, a kitchen with two center islands, seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms are within the 11,000 square feet of space.
Clad in black ceilings, walls and carpet, a lower-level lounge features a nightclub, a DJ booth, a wet bar and a screening room with stadium seating. A separate recording studio has a bathroom and private patio.
Outdoors, the landscaped grounds center on a swimming pool and spa, set off by canyon and valley views. A large outdoor living room with a fireplace, a skate ramp and an organic vegetable garden complete the three-quarter-acre setting.
Slash and Hudson, who are in the process of divorcing, paid $7.3 million for the home in 2009.
Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Previews International is the listing agent.
Slash, whose real name is Saul Hudson, rose to fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses and later co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver. The 49-year-old was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Guns N’ Roses in 2012.
Hudson is the creator of a popular lifestyle channel on YouTube. She will debut a fashion and design blog geared toward Latin American women later this year.
