Hitting the free-agent market is the Hollywood Hills home of the Dallas Cowboys’ Orlando Scandrick. The defensive back is asking $2.195 million for his sleek contemporary found beneath the Hollywood sign.
The home, built in 2009, was designed for both formal entertaining and casual indoor-outdoor living, and sports a flexible, three-story floor plan with telescoping glass walls that open onto generous deck spaces. Among its features are a modernized chef’s kitchen with an angled island and a top-floor master suite with a private balcony and a dressing room. In all, the nearly 3,400 square feet of living space has four bedrooms, four full baths and an office.
Outdoor amenities include a large patio with a tiered garden and sunken spa that enjoys sprawling views extending from the Griffith Observatory to downtown Los Angeles.
A native of Torrance, Scandrick, 27, was a selected by Dallas in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL draft. He has two interceptions and 12 pass breakups in 16 games for the Cowboys last season.
Scandrick paid $2.1 million for the modern house in January 2012 -- about five months after agreeing to a five-year contract extension worth $27 million, $10 million of which was guaranteed.
