New Dodgers exec Andrew Friedman lists Florida home for sale

Andrew Friedman, the new head of baseball operations for the Los Angeles Dodgers, has put his waterfront home in St. Petersburg, Fla., on the market at $2.35 million.

The Mission-style residence, designed for formal entertaining and casual indoor-outdoor living, includes a covered lounge, outdoor fireplaces, an infinity-edge pool and private dock with a boat lift.

Entered through a gated driveway, the 4,265-square-foot floor plan features hardwood flooring, stone accents and vaulted ceilings with exposed beams. Among features is a living room with a cut coral fireplace, an updated kitchen and a master suite with a large walk-in closet. In all, the home has five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

Outdoors, the covered patio sports an outdoor kitchen and a fireplace. An additional outdoor fireplace sits off of the living room.

Friedman, who turns 38 this month, joined the Dodgers front office in October after a decade with the Tampa Bay Rays. His contract with the Dodgers will pay him a reported $35 million over the next five years, making him the highest-paid executive in baseball.

Records show that Friedman purchased the home, found near the mouth of Snell Harbor, in December 2010 for $1.75 million. Bonnie Strickland of Re/Max Metro holds the listing.
