Living legends set to rock Vegas

David Bowie. Prince. Glenn Frey. Merle Haggard.

The first half of this year alone reminded music lovers that even the industry’s icons aren’t immortal. Though some fans had the chance to see these greats live on stage, others may be left with regrets.

Now’s the time to see some of music’s biggest acts live in concert and cross a few to-dos off the bucket list. And it can all be combined with a Vegas getaway. There’s still time to see icons live. Don’t pass up the chance.

Sept. 14 to Oct. 1: John Fogerty – Fortunate Son in Concert

His career has spanned half a century, and during that time, he wrote, sang and produced classics such as “Born on the Bayou,” “Proud Mary” and “Bad Moon Rising.” Rolling Stone put him on their lists of greatest guitarists, songwriters and singers.

Oct. 1: Alice In Chains

In the ’90s, Alice In Chains was among the most influential bands to rise from the Seattle music scene, keeping good company with Pearl Jam, Nirvana and Soundgarden. With Grammy nominations, 20 million albums sold and a global fan base, they helped change the tune of modern rock.

Oct. 19: The Rolling Stones

Mick Jagger. Keith Richards. Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood. They need as little introduction as their many hits that span the decades — “Gimme Shelter,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Start Me Up,” to name a few.

The concert marks the Stones’ first trip to a Vegas stage in over three years.
