Oops: Library has motto carved in stone, gets the Latin wrong

Is there a Latin word for irony?
The new library in Moorestown, N.J., features a stone engraving with its Latin motto: “Nos Secundus Coniecto Omnia.”
Translated, that means, “We second-guess all” -- but officials thought they were engraving the phrase, “We check everything twice.”
In the stone carving, the Latin words surround an e-reader.
The Associated Press reports that architect Rick Ragan was informed by local residents of the correct translation.
There are plans to change the engraving to read “We encourage all” in Latin.
Maybe there’s a book in the library where they can double-check the translation.
