Update: The Kings’ John Zeiler was suspended three games for his hit on Colorado Avalanche defenseman Adam Foote during Saturday’s game. Zeiler was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct after hitting Foote from behind. The suspension will cost Zeiler $8,770.17, his pro-rated salary for three games. Zeiler is eligible to return against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday. Erik Ersberg will start in goal for the Kings tonight, with Jason LaBarbera expected to start against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, his first start since Nov. 1. Flames goaltender Miikka Kiprusoff, considered one of the NHL’s best, has given up four or more goals nine times in 20 starts this season.
