RE “A Sculptural Ramble With Richard Serra” [Jan. 13]: I can’t help wondering how manufacturing 183 tons of steel, ocean-shipping from Germany and then trucking cross country has negatively impacted LACMA’s carbon footprint.

Wouldn’t a nice oil or watercolor painting have been much more environmentally sensitive?
