At least 40 people die in landslides

Landslides triggered by days of heavy rain killed at least 40 people on the eastern island of Flores and scores more were believed to be buried under the mud, officials said. Authorities battled blocked roads to deliver emergency aid and help dig for survivors, a crisis center official said in Jakarta.
