Buss faces DUI misdemeanors

Lakers owner Jerry Buss faces two misdemeanor counts of driving under the influence in connection with his arrest last month near Carlsbad.
The San Diego County district attorney’s office charged Buss with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs and one count of driving with a blood-alcohol level of .08% or greater.
The nature of the alleged drug was not specified. Buss, 74, declined to take a chemical test at the time.
Buss, who owns a home near San Diego, was pulled over in the early hours of May 29 after his gold Mercedes crossed over a double yellow line while making a turn. Buss, who had a 23-year-old woman in the car with him, must respond to the charges by July 10.
