Bad bargain on immigration

Re “A second chance,” editorial, June 16

The Times writes, “Now that [the immigration reform bill] has been given a second chance, the Senate should recognize that it’s a good bargain for America.” The sub-headline says, “Senators need to accept this ‘grand bargain’ as a good deal for America.”

How the heck is this a bargain? Who writes this stuff? The only bargain is for businesses that don’t want to pay a decent wage. They are the new slave owners. Only they pay you just enough to make you think you’re independent while the government keeps you afloat.
