Taste whetted for diverse eats

Thank you for the great L.A. adventure eating tips [“The World on a Platter,” May 31]. Having recently moved from New York City, I’ve been struggling to find real things to do outside the “Hollywood” lifestyle. Traveling to Artesia and Torrance reminded me of Brooklyn, where you can go to places that cater to the community, true ethnic enclaves.
I also found this article much more interesting than your features covering what an actor’s ideal weekend is.
