Taliban casualties reported in battle

A battle and airstrikes in southern Afghanistan left 30 suspected Taliban dead or wounded, and six people were arrested in the killing of a radio station owner, officials said.
The battle took place in the Garmser district of Helmand province, the Defense Ministry said. Gen. Mohammed Zahir Azimi said officials could not say how many of the 30 reported casualties were killed or how many wounded.
Meanwhile, police arrested six men for the killing of Zakia Zaki, the owner and manager of Peace Radio gunned down Wednesday in the northern province of Parwan, an Interior Ministry official said.
