Alarcon seeks $250,000 for children’s museum

Councilman Richard Alarcon announced Monday that $1 million had been raised in recent weeks toward completion of the Children’s Museum at Hansen Dam and that $250,000 more was needed by June 15 for construction to continue.
The museum has been plagued by funding shortfalls. The city has agreed to lend the museum $1.25 million if the museum can also raise $1.25 million.
