Re “Teaching kids right from left,” Column One, June 1
Publishing executive Eric Jackson scares me. Fairy tales promoting gun rights? Not for my children! The sad part is that there will no doubt be some demand for such books, mostly from extreme right-wingers who never learned to think for themselves or question authority and are bringing up their children the same way.

I have a feeling that, like the “Heather Has Two Mommies” type of books, the majority of the 30,000 copies of “Help! Mom! There Are Liberals Under My Bed” were sold not for children’s bookshelves but to adults for their camp value.
